There is a new team atop The List this week as Kansas replaces Duke as No. 1.
Kansas (13-0) moves up from No. 2 after beating Texas-Arlington and Miami (Ohio) while Dukes drops one spot to No. 2 after beating North Carolina-Greensboro and Miami (Fla.) Rounding out the top five are Syracuse, Kentucky and Ohio State.
Washington makes the biggest jump, going from No. 23 to No. 12 after sweeping a two-game trip to Los Angeles against USC and UCLA. West Virginia takes the biggest tumble, dropping out of the top 25 from No. 9 following losses to West Virginia and Marquette. Missouri, Saint Mary's, North Carolina, Villanova and Illinois move into the top 25.
Unlike The Associated Press' media poll and USA Today/ESPN's coaches (re: sports information directors) poll, we take into account subjective data to present our weekly Top 25, a cross section of Ken Pomeroy's Pomeroy Ratings at kenpom.com, the Jeff Sagarin ratings for USA Today at usatoday.com, Team Rankings at teamrankings.com, Kyle Whelliston's State of Basketball rankings at basketballstate.com and the Ratings Percentage Index, more commonly known as the RPI, which can be found at various sources. We also project the 68 teams most deserving of being in the NCAA Tournament.

"West Virginia takes the biggest tumble, dropping out of the top 25 from No. 9 following losses to West Virginia and Marquette."
If West Virginia can't even beat themselves, they definitely don't belong in the top 25.
