After Drew Cannon ranked the NCAA's top 100 players, we wanted to do the same for the NBA. In the interim, a host of player rankings popped up all over the Internet. So instead, we decided to try something different: Redrafting the NBA.

Over the last three weeks, Basketball Prospectus' four NBA analysts have been drafting two teams apiece for a total of eight teams and 96 players. We will be selecting players strictly on the basis of expected performance during the 2011-12 season, giving our own ranking of sorts--though one affected by positional scarcity and other outside factors.

89. Dan B - Jrue Holiday, PG, Philadelphia 76ers
If Holiday continues to grow as a player and passes Jameer Nelson on the depth chart, that's great for my team. If Holiday isn't better than Nelson by next season, no problem. Holiday can already serve as a defensive specialist who can guard either backcourt position.

90. Bradford B - Kirk Hinrich, G, Atlanta Hawks
Needed a fifth guard. Hinrich can fill any role in the backcourt on either end of the floor and, as the Wizards demonstrated last season, you can even get away with playing him at the three in certain situations. He might not like being a 12th man, but I'm fairly sure he won't cause any trouble. His Iowa prep background should overcome any poor habits he picked up at the University of Kansas.

91. Kevin B - DeJuan Blair, F/C, San Antonio Spurs
Blair seems good for a few nights a year where he dominates the paint and goes for something like 18 points and 13 rebounds. That's monstrous production from a fifth big man, so we'll try to utilize Blair in those favorable matchups and when needed.

92. Sebastian B - Louis Williams, G, Philadelphia 76ers
Going best player available here. Lou Williams is a guy just starting to turn the corner when it comes to being a complete offensive player. He can be both the primary ball handler/distributor as well as a shooting guard. Having him has the last guy on the bench and throwing him in there when the team needs a spark is a huge benefit.

93. Sebastian A - Rodney Stuckey, G, Detroit Pistons
This might be surprising, but Stuckey posted a solid assist rate while keeping his turnovers down, and that was on a terrible Pistons team with no true No. 1 option. Having him be the third point guard, and a big point guard (compared to Paul and Harris) could provide a nice change of pace.

94. Kevin A - Raymond Felton, PG, Portland Trail Blazers
Felton is very much in keeping with the spirit of Team A's point guards, all of whom are effective playing off the ball as a complement to Dwyane Wade. If Curry or Billups goes down for any period of time, Felton should be able to keep the offense running smoothly.

95. Bradford A - Taj Gibson, PF, Chicago Bulls
I can't ask for a better player to serve as my end-of-the-bench, fifth big man. Taj can keep up the defensive energy of my team, knock down a few midrange jumpers and throw down a highlight reel dunk on LeBron James now and again. Great character guy as well, which matters among your bit players.

96. Dan A - Grant Hill, SF, Phoenix Suns
I suppose I should draft someone capable of backing up LeBron James, and because I'm not convinced Monta Ellis can play well with others, I needed someone who plays both wing positions. Hill's defense, improved three-point shooting and ability to run with Steve Nash gave him a slight edge over a large group of players I considered--DeMar DeRozan, Caron Butler, Tayshaun Prince, Shane Battier, John Salmons, Stephen Jackson, Brandon Roy, Ron Artest and O.J. Mayo.
