We've got 10 games from Wednesday to get to, so I'll save you my prattle for today and just say this: Best wishes to you and yours for Thanksgiving. Be safe and enjoy the respite.
Through last night, we've played the 169 games the NBA hasn't as part of Sim Season, our Strat-O-Matic simulation of the locked out 2011-12 season. We'll be doing this every day, so check back tomorrow for the results of tonight's action. You can follow me on Twitter for periodic updates on the action. Watch for the #simseason hashtag.

BOBCATS 118, GRIZZLIES 115: The Bobcats wisely decided to head a new direction earlier this year, deciding that eking out a low playoff seed in the Eastern Conference wasn't a high enough ceiling for a team. We know that's not a high enough ceiling for 'Cats owner Michael Jordan. Gerald Wallace was dealt to Portland at last year's trade deadline and, just before the draft, Stephen Jackson was flipped to Milwaukee. Charlotte drafted Bismack Biyombo and Kemba Walker, the first step in the rebuilding effort. So far, the rebuild appears to be unfolding on fast forward. Corey Maggette scored 24 points, Gerald Henderson Jr. added 20 on just nine shots and the Bobcats knocked off Memphis for their third straight win. D.J. Augustin added 19 points, five rebounds and seven assists for Charlotte. This was a close, entertaining game throughout. Tony Allen cut the lead to three with a hoop at the 56-second mark, but the Grizzlies' offense went dry. Augustin and Maggette sealed the win with free throws before Rudy Gay hit a three at the buzzer for Memphis. Zach Randolph had 23 points and 16 rebounds for Memphis, which has dropped three of four. Meanwhile the Bobcats suddenly find themselves fifth in the East.

PACERS 132, CAVALIERS 109: The Pacers are one of the streakiest teams in the league. Who can forget the third quarter they enjoyed against Denver, just over a year ago? You remember--Indiana rolled up 54 points in the third and shot 20-of-21 from the floor. The only miss was Mike Dunleavy's last second three just before the horn. Isn't it amazing what can happen when the NBA actually plays its games? Well, the Sim Season Pacers are on a roll. One night after putting up over 1.4 points per possession in a win over Detroit, Indiana nearly matched that figure against Cavs. Actually, the Pacers did match the 1.4, but if you go an extra decimal point, Tuesday's output was slightly more efficient. After a close first quarter, the Pacers were really in charge of their win over Cleveland. Danny Granger was a model of efficiency, scoring 37 points on just 14 shots. Roy Hibbert, who has had a quiet start, put up 23 points and 10 rebounds. The Cavs, stuck in catchup mode for most of the game, hit 14-of-31 from deep, getting four treys each from Daniel Gibson and Omri Casspi. Cleveland lost Anderson Varejao to an injury. The Brazilian center, who missed most of last season with an injury, is expected to miss five games.

CELTICS 96, RAPTORS 87: The Raptors were coming off a win over Milwaukee that snapped a six-game losing streak, but that wasn't enough to impress the Basketball Prospectus machinery. Toronto was an 18-point underdog to the Celtics. Vegas would never put out a line like that--even if it did, the money that came pouring in on the Raptors would quickly moderate the spread. Our line isn't about betting--it's about judging relative team strength. So it was a small win for the Raptors to hang relatively close in Boston. The Celtics enjoyed their biggest lead of 14 points late in the third and it certainly seemed as if the rout was on. But Toronto hung in and cut the lead to six midway through the fourth on Jose Calderon's three. That was as close as it got. It was kind of a ho-hum game stat-wise. Paul Pierce scored a game-high 21 points and need just eight shots to get there.

TRAIL BLAZERS 101, PISTONS 78: The Trail Blazers put up their best Defensive Rating of the season and sent the Pistons to their eighth straight defeat. Portland hasn't been able to really get on a roll this year and a win over one of the league's lower lights may not mean much, but it was the Blazers' best all-around performance of the season. Portland outscored Detroit 34-20 in the paint and 8-0 in transition. LaMarcus Aldridge rolled up 32 points but check Greg Oden's line--13 points, 14 rebounds in 23 minutes. The Pistons shot just 34 percent from the floor. If Detroit's skid is ever going to end, it may be on Friday when the Pistons host the Wizards.

THUNDER 120, LAKERS 94: The Thunder has been rolling and its offensive onslaught continued with an easy win over the Lakers, snapping L.A.'s six-game winning streak. The Lakers led by two at the half on Derek Fisher's jumper at the second-quarter buzzer. OKC poured it on in the third, getting 12 points from Kevin Durant and eight from Russell Westbrook and outscoring the Lakers 34-15. OKC extended the lead to as high as 30 in the fourth. The Thunder has now put up points per possession totals of 1.4, 1.5 and 1.3 over its last three outings. OKC has won three straight and seven out of eight after starting the season 1-4. Westbrook just missed a triple-double, finishing with 24 points, nine rebounds and 14 assists.

ROCKETS 115, MAVERICKS 93: The Rockets dispatched the champion Mavericks and stayed hot, getting their third straight win and fifth in six games. Houston is now tied with the Timberwolves for fourth in the West, which I bring up because the Rockets play at Minnesota on Friday. Dallas didn't lead after Houston's 13-2 run midway through the second put the Rockets in control. Kevin Martin led the way with 28 points and Luis Scola added 24 points and 13 rebounds. Dallas actually shot 51 percent from the field, but the jump-shooting Mavericks were out-pointed by Houston 22-9 at the foul line. It also didn't hurt the Rockets' cause that they hit 11-of-17 from deep. Chase Budinger scored 14 for Houston on 5-of-5 shooting and went 3-of-3 from downtown.

BUCKS 96, NETS 77: Things haven't been going too well for these clubs of late. The Nets snapped a six-game losing streak in their last outing, while the Bucks were trying to halt a seven-game skid. The Nets scored with 4:07 in the first quarter to go up 11-10 but never led again. Plenty of shots went askew in this one. Jersey shot 33 percent from the floor. Deron Williams scored 22 points was but was just 6-of-18. Anthony Morrow was 4-of-16 and Jordan Farmar hit just 4-of-12. But the piece de resistance was offered by Milwaukee's Stephen Jackson in a winning effort--he shot just 3-of-22 from the floor. You have to give him points for persistance. The non-Jackson Bucks actually shot nearly 61 percent, so the game qualified as one of the better offensive outings of the season for Milwaukee, which ranks last in the league in efficiency on that end of the floor. Andrew Bogut led the way 22 points and 15 rebounds.

TIMBERWOLVES 107, WARRIORS 102: The Timberwolves had dropped two straight and needed a home win over the Warriors to prevent a buzzkill skid after such a nice start to the season. Golden State had lost three straight, but didn't make it easy for Minnesota. Stephen Curry scored 18 points and David Lee added 14 as Golden State took a six-point lead into the break. Monta Ellis was slowed by an injury and finished with just five points, but he hit a big three to cap a 13-2 run in the third that put the Warriors up 76-61. Not looking good for my Timberwolves. Minny made a run in the early fourth, with Martell Webster's three capping a 10-point spree to cut the lead to four. The Warriors went up seven on Curry's layup with 7:03 to play, but the T-Wolves reeled off 11 straight to seize the advantage. Ricky Rubio finished off that run with a penetration hoop. The Warriors tied it on Andris Biedrins' bucket with 2:49 to go, but Michael Beasley's three sparked a six-point Wolves spree that iced the game. Rubio finished with 13 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and three steals. Fellow rookie Derrick Williams had 13 points, five boards, three assists and two steals. Curry finished with 31 points for Golden State.

MAGIC 106, SPURS 104: The Magic was facing a tough test in trying to extend its eight-game winning streak. It was a tremendous game, one I think we all would have liked to watch on League Pass. Alas. The biggest lead either team enjoyed in the game was just six points. That came when Dwight Howard's transition dunk capped a seven-point run that left Orlando up 97-91 with 5:22 to play. San Antonio responded with a 7-2 burst that included five points from Tony Parker. Hedo Turkoglu stemmed the tide with a basket, but San Antonio scored the next six points, four by Richard Jefferson. His driving hoop with 2:12 to play gave the Spurs a four-point lead. They didn't score again. Howard scored with one minute left to draw the Magic within one, then Jason Richardson drilled the go-ahead trey with 14 seconds on the clock. San Antonio had another chance but Tim Duncan missed in the lane, Howard secured the rebound and the Orlando streak reached nine games. Richardson scored 30 points and hit six three-pointers for the Magic.

JAZZ 115, KINGS 84: The Jazz haven't won often this season, but when it has, it has won big. Utah led by 19 at the half and breezed to the easy win on the Kings' home floor. Utah's four victories this season have all been by 17 points or more. The Jazz pounded the Kings on the glass and in the lane, holding a 36-18 edge on points in the paint. Utah led by as many as 37 and never trailed in the contest. Al Jefferson had 24 points and 15 rebounds and Devin Harris scored 29. Jimmer Fredette shot 4-of-18 for Sacramento and just 2-of-11 from deep. The Kings have lost four straight and eight of nine.

GLOSSARY
+/- (Plus-Minus) Raw data is from official box scores from NBA.com.
GR (Game Rating) Reflects a player's Points Created total, or the portion of his team's offense for which he gets credit based on his box score line. This number is then adjusted for estimated defensive performance based on box score counterpart productivity. GR is pace-adjusted so you can compare players from game to game.
PCP (Points Created Per Possession Used) An estimate of each player's points created per possession used, a measure of offensive efficiency. The stat accounts for a player's entire box score line, not just the scoring categories.
PLY% (Play percentage) An estimate of the percentage of a team's possessions on which the player was on the court.
USG An estimate of how many of those plays a player used by shooting, going to the line or committing a turnover, with a portion the team's offensive rebound total subtracted.
TEAM STATS
PACE: Estimated possessions in the game.
ORTG: A team's points per 100 possessions.
eFG%: Team's shooting percentage with an extra half-point added for each made three-point field goal.
oRB%: Percentage of a team's misses that they retrieved off the offensive glass.
TO%: Percentage of a team's possessions resulting in a turnover.
FTA%: Percentage of a team's possessions resulting in a trip to the foul line.
